Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with the MCCC/MTA collective bargaining agreement. Essential Functions Provide overall administration, organization, and supervision of the Surgical Technology Program. Lead continuous program assessment, quality review, and improvement initiatives. Provide academic leadership and oversight, including curriculum planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. Develop and manage the departmental budget, prioritize expenditures, and maintain an inventory of program equipment and supplies. Deliver high-quality instruction that supports the diverse backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and learning styles of community college students. Facilitate the application of theory to clinical practice while promoting critical thinking and independent learning. Collaborate effectively with program faculty and staff as an active member of the academic team. Participate in college governance and required meetings, including departmental meetings, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Maintain required professional credentials. Participate in continuing education, professional development activities, and an ARC/STSA-sponsored accreditation workshop at least once every five years. Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to manage challenging or sensitive situations professionally.
